With the Solar Storm Mandala crochet pattern you can crochet a cool mandala for a 20 inch hoop. A simple design, which looks great in a modern interior!
You can crochet the mandala with or without front post stitches. The white version is crocheted with front post stitches, and the green version without. Go for more challenge and definition with the front post stitches, or opt for the simplicity of the version without front post stitches. Only basic stitches are used in the pattern (chain stitches, single crochet, double crochet (together)), making the pattern very suitable for people who do not have much experience with crocheting mandalas. But because of the front post stitches, this pattern is also a fun challenge for anyone who has crocheted mandalas before!

Required materials
Yarn: for the green version (without front post stitches) I have used 64 grams Scheepjes Whirlette in the color Delicious (880).
For the white version (with front post stitches) I have used 69 grams Scheepjes Whirlette in the color Ice (860).- Hook: 2,5mm. If you crochet loose or tight, you might need to use another size.
- Hoop: my mandalas fit a 50 cm / 20 inch hoop. But it could be that yours turns out bigger or smaller. Therefore I’d recommend to buy a hoop once you finished crocheting. Intructions on how to determine the correct hoop size are included in the pattern.
