With this free crochet pattern you can crochet an easy star, very suitable for beginners! You can put it in your tree as is or attach it to a hoop.
The pattern is very suitable for beginners, because for each round a written description is available. Besides that, there is also a video showing each step. For the advanced crocheters there is a chart.

Materials
- Yarn: you can use any yarn you like. I have used Scheepjes Whirlette Ice. Check out Yarnsub.com for alternatives.
- Hook: pick a hook that suits the yarn you will be using. I’ve used hook 2,5 mm.
- Scissors, needle, stitch marker
- Optional: a (woorden) hoop to attach your star. Which hoop you need, depends on how big your star turns out.

Finish
If you want to leave the star as is, it is advisable to block it. But you can also attach it to a hoop. I used a 10 centimeter ring, but the size you need depends on how big your star has become. You calculate the correct size ring by adding 20% to your star (x 1.2).
