With this patten you can make a fun 40 cm / 16 inch mandala. And the best part is that you only need to use 1 skein!
I love yarn cakes. You can make the most beautiful mandalas with them. The down side is that these skeins are not suitable for smaller mandalas, as they contain more yarn than is necessary. If you want to use such a skein, you need to cut out some yarn after every color change to use all colors, or skip some colors.
A while ago I was visiting my local yarn store, and I noticed that they were selling small yarn cakes, the Ricorumi Spin Spin yarn. These skeins consists of 50 grams, 115 meters of yarn. Perfect for a small mandala! I thought it would be a fun challenge to design a mandala that uses exactly one skein of this yarn. And the result is the Marvelous Mandala!
